Bulle’s water: moderately hard

This is the hardness measured in the Vaucens reservoir area, which supplies Bulle (°fH are French degrees of hardness, the unit used in Switzerland). The water comes from groundwater: 94% from Pont du Roc, in Charmey, and 6% from Grandvillard. At this level, limescale builds up mainly where the water is heated: in the tank and on the heating element of the water heater, then in tap aerators and mixer tap cartridges.
