Tap, mixer tap and trap replacement in Lausanne and Montreux
A dripping tap, a mixer tap that is stiff to turn, a trap weeping under the sink: the replacement is done in a single visit, at a fixed price. You supply the part, or we bring it if you ask. We fit it and check that it does not leak.

The tap: you buy it, or we bring it
The price covers the labour, not the tap or the trap. That is what makes a fixed price possible: a mixer tap can cost anything from a few dozen to several hundred francs, and you are the one who chooses.
If you buy it yourself, check two things: that the model matches the existing tap hole and type of connection, and that it is there on the day of the appointment. If in doubt, attach a photo of the installation to your booking: we will tell you whether the model is suitable before we come.
If you would rather we brought it, say so under “Access and notes” when you book, with the model if you have one in mind. Its price is then added to the price of the job, and you are told what it is beforehand.
What is included
- Travel within 40 km there and back.
- Turning off the water and removing the old part.
- Fitting the new one, connecting it and sealing the joints.
- Turning the water back on and checking for leaks, under pressure and with water running.
- Cleaning up the work area.
What is not included
- The tap, mixer tap or trap itself, whether you supply it or we bring it.
- Adapting the water supply or the waste pipe, if the new model requires it.
- Replacing an isolation valve found to be faulty once the old part is off.
- Any drilling or rework of the worktop.
This extra work does happen: an original isolation valve that no longer closes, a waste pipe that needs redoing. In that case, the extra charge is announced and agreed with you before the work goes ahead, never discovered on the invoice.
Replacing rather than repairing
On a mixer tap, the cartridge is often the culprit. Changing it takes as much dismantling as replacing the whole tap, and a cartridge for an older model is not always available. On a cracked or scaled-up plastic trap, a repair does not last. In both cases, replacing costs less than a second visit six months later.
Frequently asked questions
Is the tap included in the price?
No, the price shown is for fitting. You buy the tap and have it on site on the day of the appointment, or you ask us to bring it.
Can you supply the tap?
Yes, if you ask: say so under “Access and notes” when you book. Its price is added to the price of the job, and you are told what it is beforehand.
Can I have the tap and the trap replaced at the same time?
Yes, and it costs less than two separate visits: the price list includes a service that covers both in a single visit.
How do I know whether the model I am buying is compatible?
Photograph the current installation, including the tap and the connections under the sink, and attach the photos to your booking. We will reply before the visit.
