In Valais, building insurance is a private policy
Valais does not yet have a cantonal building insurance body, and building insurance is not compulsory there. Whether water damage is covered, and whether the cost of finding the leak is covered too, therefore depends entirely on the policy taken out with a private insurer by the owner or the co-owners.
Check this before the visit. The report we give you (method used, location of the leak, photos, date) is designed to be forwarded as it is to the insurer or the property manager.

For a resort higher up or further away, it depends on the road, because our area is measured in driving time from the base. Enter the address of the chalet or flat at the start of the booking: the answer and the full price appear before you give any personal details.
Do you work in Upper Valais?
No: we only work in French-speaking Valais, from Saint-Gingolph to Sierre and the surrounding area.
A holiday home: does someone need to be there?
